Starting Confidently
I've never been a fan of running. Give me a road bike and an open backroad, and I'm set for hours. But running? It's a struggle from the first step. Yet, as we stand at the threshold of a new year, brimming with tasks and ambitions, I'm reminded of the hardest part of any endeavor: starting.
Starting confidently, knowing when we can stop, is crucial. It's like my runs, where I begin with a walk, warming up to the idea of something I don't enjoy but know is beneficial. Without caution, that walk might never transition into a run.
In life and business, we can't afford to always be in the preparation phase.
Whether it's for personal growth, client commitments, or family, knowing
'why' we're running can be more vital than the 'where'. Running isn't just for the thrill of reaching a destination; it's about the reasons - staying healthy for family, fulfilling promises, or sustaining our business.
As this year unfolds, let's not just focus on the finish line but remember the purpose of our run. It's that purpose which will propel us forward, even when starting feels like the hardest part.
What are you running towards this year?
